Not sure if this will help anyone out there but here is my encounter with arthritis and my Rottie. Chaos was diagnosed with arthritis about 2years ago, they said he had signs of Osteoarthritis in his right knee, and arthritis showing in the right and left hip also his left knee. He just blew out his ACL On Feb 28 /07, so we had to take him in to get x-rays to make sure it was blowin, it is. Now if I take a positive from this negitive
the new x-rays have showed that he shows very little signs of arthritis anymore. He has been going for acupuncture since we found out about his arthritis (few times in a row to start than moved to weekly now every 2 weeks) he also take 2 gluclosime pills a day(500mg each). I think acupuncture is a very good thing for any dog with arthritis it made huge improvement in how happy he is, able to move, no lameness(well except for the new injury). I hope this helps anyone thinking of going for acupuncture for there dog.
